Solution-1: Reconfigure the SMTP settings

Step : 1

Launch the Mail app, open the Preferences window, and double-click the Account icon.

Select the Mail account in which you face the error and click the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).

Step : 3

Next, you have to select Edit SMTP Server List and click the Advanced tab.

Step : 4

Again, fill in the email address and password for the SMTP authentication, choose an authentication type from the drop-down menu, enter the correct SMTP port number, and finally, click OK.

Step : 5

Close the Mail app, restart the app, and move or delete an email to check if the error has been fixed.
