The error code WIN 1618 occurs when you try to install the Windows ESET product. It is the interruption error caused by the other running programs that try to install/update on your Windows computer. If you wish to resolve the error, follow the below-mentioned methods.
Since it is the interruption error, it can be resolved by closing the running programs. Otherwise, close the ESET window and wait until the programs complete the installation or update. After completing the installations, restart your computer and reinstall the ESET product. Check if the error code appears again. If the problem persists, move on to the next solution.
Step 1: On your Windows desktop, press the Ctrl + Alt + Delete shortcut keys simultaneously to open the Task Manager.
Step 2: Alternatively, give a right-click on the taskbar and select the Start Task Manager option to open the Task Manager on your Windows computer.
Step 3: Click the Processes tab in the Task Manager window and locate the file name Windows Installer.
