If you switched to a new email address and no longer use your old one, you should change your old email address associated with your Apple ID for security purposes. Depending on the email service that you use, the steps for changing the email address is different. 

Step : 1Before you change the email address, sign out of all Apple and other services that use your Apple ID.

Step : 2See if the email address that you used to create your Apple ID is of Apple or Non-Apple email domain.
