How to setup HP Deskjet 3050 Wireless Printer?

To set up the HP Deskjet 3050 printer as a wireless printer, it will require a router connection. Connect the printer and computer to the same Wi-Fi network.



  1. To establish a wireless connection, you should have a router network.
  2. Gather the name and password of your Wi-Fi network.
  3. The router name will be assigned to default as SSID (Service Set Identifier).
  4. Connect the computer to the Wi-Fi network in which you wish to connect the printer.
  5. Swipe down to view the dashboard on the 123.hp.com/dj3050 printer’s control panel.
  6. Tap the Wireless icon on the dashboard, and then select the Setup icon.
  7. Choose the Wireless Settings, and then tap Wireless Setup Wizard.
  8. Select the name of your Wi-Fi network from the list of networks.
  9. If your router connection name is not displayed, tap Enter New network name and follow the prompts to add your network name.
  10. Type the WPA/WEP key, tap Done.


How to Find WPS Pin on HP Deskjet 3050?

The WPS pin will be displayed on the router. Mostly the WPS pin will be provided to you during the time of installation. You can also find the WPS pin from the computer and printer control panel.

  1. Look for the WPS pin on the wireless router.
  2. It may be given as WEP or WPA pin.
  3. If you cannot find the pin on the router, search for the WPS pin in the original paperwork that was provided to you during the Wi-Fi installation.
  4. Connect your computer to the wireless network.
  5. Click on the Wireless icon, and then choose Open Network and Sharing Center.
  6. Click Change Adapter Settings and right-click on your wireless network name.
  7. Select Status and then click Wireless Properties.
  8. View the Security tab, and then click Show Characters to know the WPS pin.
  9. The WPS pin will be displayed on your Windows computer.
  10. Contact the service provider if you cannot find the WPS pin by any of these methods.
